Atelier Lysippe
Somewhere around the year 2500 BC a fenicien ship loaded with soda landed on the shores of Lebanon.
The sailors decided to make a camp on the beach.
They started to make their evening meal but couldn't find no stones to put the cettles on.
So they took some blocks of the soda stored in their ship.
They started cooking and the molten soda mixed with the sand: they invented glass!
On Egyptian sarcofages the eyes of the farao were made of glass.
Nothing else could give a better expression to the eyes.
Glass inspires because of its transparency, I love the way the light deformes and diffuses, its colors, the continues search for new effects minerals and oxides provide.
The search for a more difficult, a better statue is my personal drive.
Only the truly best, but few statues make it to the open world of galeries and exhibitions.
All the others, that are rejected by me because of the slightest flaw, are recycled.
My statues can be placed aswell inside as outside; they are sturdy and solid.
I advice in how to place securely.
